This is an unfamiliar room to me. It's a small bar located right off the sidewalk, the entire side of the bar is a giant roll up garage door that's left open on nice days. I like it. Very spacious and open feeling with the garage door up.
3 comic showcase. Standard stuff. I am the feature this time, and headlining is my good friend Don Frost.
What makes this show memorable is I met a girl there. A woman from the internet. I told her to meet me at the show. The show was okay, I did pretty good. Afterwards she told me she was walking across the street to the karaoke bar with her roommates and I should come hang out. So I did. Within 5 minutes I could tell that this was going nowhere because we just didn't have anything in common. Normally I would have excused myself but since I was at the karaoke bar I wanted to sing and I did not want to get up and just go to another table, that would be awkward right? Luckily another guy at the bar recognized her from the internet and came and talked to her. They really hit it off and within 5 minutes they were making out on the other side of the table from me and her roommates. Not awkward at all.
This is a personal blog / diary of my experiences being a stand up comedian. Most of the entries take place in the Portland Oregon / Pacific NW area.

Tap That
Bleachers
Tonight Im in beaverton. I'm at a small sports bar called bleachers,. It is a rough room. One of the comics doesn't show up so its just three of us. I am headlining the show as well and I watch the host and feature both have pretty terrible sets. Not terrible on their part, just that the crowd was small and not into it that much.
I go up and actually have a fairly fun time. There were a few people that just were not laughing at anything I said, so I got really dark on them and enjoyed it for myself. I ended up doing 38 minutes and that time flew by. Once I started having fun with the set it was over.
Afterwards the bar owner approached me and told me I was the best comic he's ever seen. I'm sure he tells that to everyone, but it still felt nice
Brody Theater
I'm at the classic Brody theater. This is where I first started, and now I'm back to headline a small showcase with my friends! It's a really good lineup, and there's probably 40 people in the audience, which is a lot for this small venue.
My friends all go up and do very well. It's a long show, it's about an hour and a half deep before I take the stage, but the audience is still on board till the end. There were some old people there, and my first instinct is they are not going to like the show... I was wrong. They were totally on board, it was nice seeing some 50 year old dudes loving my shit. Afterwards a couple of them came up to me and told me if I ever make it up there way (British Columbia) to let them know. Nice gesture.

Nics Bar and Grill
Here I am back in Amboy Washington with my friend Jeremiah for another show. I'm featuring again doing about 30 minutes and I'm very confident walking on stage. There was a solid 100+ people there tonight, they rearranged the seating to accommodate more.
I woke up and was pretty solid right at the start. Opening up with some riff about the owner of the bar and he was eating it up! Afterwards I did a quick one liner that I thought of about 10 minutes beforehand and it killed! Then I talked about my day for 7 minutes and I got a solid response nothing groundbreaking. Afterwards I had about 20 minutes left, I used classics as well as some new shit cause i dont want to repeat everything from the last set obviously.
Afterwards there was one woman who is very obviously hating me. Shooting me the stink eye for an hour after my set. When she finally approached me she told me I wasn't funny and I just shrugged and said I don't care and walked away. It felt so good to see her getting even matter when I just brush her off. Haters gonna hate.
