Laughrodsiac

Last night I was on a fun show at a swingers club in downtown Portland. Its a nice legit venue with seating for 60ish people. the place was pretty full everybody was well attentive it wasn't a bunch of naked people having sex during our sets are anything like that. It was a legit fun show everybody did well!
A really great show from start to end

Alberta Street Pub

Tonight i got to be on one of my fave showcases Control Yourself! The lineup is stacked and the crowd is full.
I went up 2nd to last and had a pretty good set, a lot of riffing and bantering, the first minute was pretty slow, but then I told an actual joke and they got on board. Overall good time!

Slide Inn

Tonight I'm at Slide Inn with some of my fave comics for a great little show. I'm pretty burnt out from driving all night last night but Indo t let it affect my set too much. I went up last and did about 35 mins and the crowd was into pretty much all of it! my anti anti anxiety meds joke worked really well and got an applause break, so that felt nice.

Spokane Comedy Club

This weekend I got to feature at Spokane Comedy Club...finally. I've been trying to get in here for a while and I'm greatful for the chance but it sucks that I'm moving to LA soon. I woulda loved to have worked here regularly before the move. Greenroom in this club is tits. A chest of drawers loaded with candy, a big tv with a super Nintendo hooked up to it....NBA Jam...legit.
Its a 3 show weekend, 1 Fri and 2 Sat. Friday show went great, nice crowd and they dug me. Afterward we went next-door to the arcade and hung out for a bit before I went to the hotel that the headliner stayed in and he let me sleep in his room. I was gonna sleep in my car but he insisted. Good dude. Way better than my car.
Saturday 1st show was good, not great I had some slow moments but overall it was good. The crowd was a bit smaller than the Fri show and the laughter died out quickly. 2nd show was an even smaller crowd but I was feeling loose and was just shooting from the hip joke wise and I had a great time!
Now to drive home at 11...

Capitol City Theater

Tonight I'm on a cool little show called Jury Duty. Comics go up and do a set then get paired off to debate a topic. I am in the last round and we get a random topic pulled from a hat.
First off my set felt great, a lot of applause breaks and I ended on my new confidence bit and it went very well.
The debating part was also great, the debate was "scooters: are they good or do they suck?" I was on the anti scooters side and I was on a roll. The crowd was on .y side from start to finish and in left feeling pretty great.

Roast Battle

What a night, a roller coaster of emotions. Last night I hosted a roast battle for the last time before I move and it was fantastic. Every round was awesome and Amanda and Brian tied for the win. Fantastic show the crowd was very happy. As was I.
And then I lost my car keys somewhere. I was livid I have not been that man in a long time. I had to get my car towed home pay to get new keys made get my girlfriend home a lot of shit was piling up and I was way out of character. I didn't like it at all. Needless to say the next morning I called a locksmith got new keys made and was out almost 400 bucks when all said and done.
Luckily one of my good friends Jason decided to make a go fund me to help me out. He set a 500 dollar goal and it reached the goal in just a couple hours! I'm blown away by the support the scene has shown me cause I've always been more of an outcast but that day I felt pretty good about myself. My friends all donated and I didn't lose any money, still a headache but having friends like this that you know will take care of you helps set the mind at ease
Also this is the last roast battle I will be hosting before I move. It's bittersweet but the show must go on.

Secret Headline Showcase

Last night I featured at Helium Comedy Club on the secret Headliner Showcase. My good friend Amanda hosted and the secret Headliner was Ian Bagg. Great guy, super funny and did mostly crowd work.
I went up in the middle of the show and did about 25 minutes of my thing. Fell really good too the crowd was into me from start to finish. I really can't wait to start doing headliner sets at that club cause 30 minutes just flies by. It was a really good show and I was jazzed afterwards.

Jokes and Yolks

This morning I was on a cool brunch show at The Lamp called Jokes and Yolks. Hosted by 2 of my fave comics in town. Its a great show and the audience is packed in tight at the start. A few people leave during the show but by my set there's still 30 or so people in the room.
I go up and did most of my quicker 1 liners. No real reason, but felt like practicing them. The audience digs it but during the last couple mins of my set they were getting tired. I closed on suicide and it went well.
Also I had a loaded potato's bowl and it was fantastic.

Cape Cod Benefit

Tonight I was in Cape cod hosting a benefit show that my girlfriend's mom puts together for mental health. It was a small show in a double tree hotel, and it went from 6 to 9 PM. There was a silent auction and some guest speakers and musicians as well.
The opening band played a bunch of random elevator music pretty roughly then I went up to host.
The crowd were not on board with my comedy at all. I did about 30 minutes to silence, no one was really laughing. Felt pretty rough. The end.
Luckily time flows in one direction and as soon as something good or bad happens it's already over.

Cider Riot

Last night I was on a show at a bar called cider riot. It's a small bar located pretty close to the Jupiter Hotel.
There was about 10 people in the room when I got there and all but 4 of them left when I got on stage. It was pretty much a shit show but I actually had a good time, the few people in the audience dogged me and I had fun just shooting the shit and rambling.
    Making lemonade as they say

Clatskanie

Tonight I am in Clackstanie, a small town about an hour and a half north of Portland. I visited once before and last time I was here my girlfriend got a little too high and I did not make the stage, but tonight I got the host!
Show went great as well! Not super great, but there was a crowd and they were listening. I hosted and had some great banter with the audience. My friend Dan got into it with a drunk dude up front named Hal so who was done up in corpse paint for Halloween and they had 20 minutes of gold, best part of that night by far!

Helium

This wèekend I got to feature at Helium and round off a great stretch of shows at my fave club! All the shows were great but the 730 sat show was a sold out banger! All my new shit is working, I'm getting so many compliments after shows and people are hitting me up for my next show dates it feels great!
  Things are really coming together!

UCB Franklin

Last night I got to be a part of a wonderful showcase at UCB theater in Los Angeles. It was a great line up with some heavy hitters and famous headliners and I was grateful to be part of it. My set went fantastic, I was the first comic up and I got a lot of good laughs throughout my entire set. I did a tight 8 minutes and then watched the rest of the show and laughed my ass off. It was a great way to cap off my trip to Los Angeles

Comedy Store

Monday night I got on the potluck open mic at The Comedy Store and I am grateful.
Comedy store is my dream so even getting just 3 mins was awesome. My set went well and I stuck around and watched the rest of it.
Then Tues I went there to watch a show with Bill Burr and Kevin Neilon and was treated to a guest set by Louie CK! Best show I've ever seen!

Harveys

Last week I got to work at Harveys comedy club and it was pretty good.
Thurs was pretty empty but Fri and sat were packed shows. I did a couple different sets and felt good about them. Nothing to notible happened, crowds were cool and everything went smoothly.
Only shitty part is that Harveys has a new pay structure, they pay you a lot less then they used to and I problems won't work at that club ever again.
Oh well, at least I got 1 last weekend there.

Helium

Last night I got to feature for a one night Wednesday showcase. And what a great show it was, my friend Jason hosted and Jack Knight headlined. Todd Glass also stopped in and chatted in the green room as well ha ha. A really overall good time.
My set felt great I went up and just had the crowd loving me from start to finish. Ended on my suicide joke and it went over real well. Then at the end of the show Jason did the usual round of applause for everyone on this show and when he said my name the crowd definitely had the biggest reaction.
That felt good after my abysmal casino gig last week

Seven Feathers

Tonight I have the displeasure of doing casino gig about 4 hours away. The drive was pretty nice at least...the gig not so much.
Show was held in a giant convention room with 40 foot ceilings and in front of about 150 people. 145 of them did not like me at all, the other 5 were cool. At one point a nicely dressed older lady in the back middle of the room was clearly shaking her head "no" for a solid minute.
Luckily instead of 30 mins of bombing they got me off stage at 15...so theres a silver lining.

Dirty Dozen

Finally I get to host another dirty dozen showcase! It's been 4 months, too long. I booked a lot of first timers and vets on this show and I'm really looking forward to it.
I get there super early and the crowd is pretty light until about 10 minutes to show time and then it fills to about 140 people. Not the most I have seen at dirty dozen but not the least either. It's a good size crowd.
I go up first and set the tone. Everything goes pretty well I don't get any huge laughs but I am doing new material and still working on it. I finished the new bit but it doesn't hit like I want so I did a couple more to close stronger. In this case it was a good decision sometimes it doesn't work out but tonight was an exception.
I watched the rest of the show from the side curtain and everybody had a good sets. Dan closed strongly/horrificly and the crowd was great. Then i read my favorite 3 texted insults and they were really good this time and the crowd loved them.
   It was a good show!

Helium Open Mic

Tonight I hit up a couple mics.
First at Helium, it was a pretty good crowd surprisingly because there's a huge fire that has made the air very smokey and I was glad to see a lot of people made it out of their house. I went up and did a bunch of new stuff and it all went pretty well. I definitely got to cut out some fluff but overall a great framework for some new minutes.
Next I hit up the lamp and it was pretty small attendance. Maybe a dozen people all comics but they were laughing and it was cool to hang out with friends. Also they have amazing hamburgers there on the happy hour menu

Helium Transplants Show

Last night I got to headline show it helium. It was the transplants show and it was hosted by great friend James. The show had 7 comics on it all of them doing 10 minute sets and then I went up last and did 30 minutes.
The crowd was pretty decent, they were laughing and had energy but my set was not that good. I'd like to say that the crowd was drained by the time I hit the stage but I just did not feel like my stuff was hitting. my closer was not good at all, I don't know why I closed on an old joke which was never that great to begin with, but that was just one of those spur of the moment decisions I made in my head while on stage that did not pan out. Shit happens.

Triple dip

Tonight for some reason I'm feeling energetic enough to hit 3 mics in one night. I haven't done this in a while.
First up, Helium. As usual its a good crowd and i started off well riffing on a friends earlier set. I did some new stuff about a subway getting robbed and then told some older stuff. Felt OK about my set.
Second, brody theater. I haven't been to Brody in 6 months and it felt good to get on that stage even with a small tired audience. Nothing hit as I expected and I left for mic number 3.
Thirdly, The Lamp. The lamp is usually meh and tonight is no different. I go up first, take the bullet and have a mediocre set working out some new shit.

Funhouse lounge

Last night in was on a lovely show at funhouse called Becky with the Good Jokes and it was fan fucking tastic. Packed room, great energy, and gift bags! I had a great time and it made me weekend!

Helium Open Mic

This week I hit the mic at helium for the first time in a couple of weeks. I Had been sick and had other stuff happening in my life so that's why I have not been. Everything went well, I pretty much just talked to the audience about my life over the last couple weeks and threw in my newer racism joke at the end. Everything hit well and it felt good to get back on that stage

Dork Horses Helium

Last night I was on a show at Helium called Dork Horses. Coincidentally, I was on that same show the night before headlining it at a smaller bar but this is a special event because my buddy Nariko Ott is back in town to host the comedy contest!
It's a decent sized audience maybe 50 people and everybodies set goes well. I did chicken out of a new bit I wanted to do about cultural appropriation while I was on stage I just didn't feel like the audience was behind me enough to try it so I'll do that another time. All in all I'm very satisfied with my set.
Afterwards I went to my girlfriend's house and spent the night and then woke up to my car being stolen. Again. Yay.

Double header

Last night I was on 2 awesome shows lucky me. First up was an early show at the Doug Fir Lounge called the cool kids patio show. Its outdoors and the weather was great. It was a pretty small crowd of maybe 20 people but they were into the entire show.
Afterwards I headed up to North Portland/St. Johns area for a show called Dork Horses. It's a multi host showcase that has fun games in between sets and was the headliner. It was in a bar I had been to 3 or 4 years ago early on in my comedy career so I vaguely remembered it. The show has a great stage and the dark theme was fun. The room ended up filling up by the time I got on stage with maybe 35 people there. I did about 30 minutes and had fun the entire time.

Bend

Last night I was in bend, one of my favorite road gigs! But it was not the greatest show haha. Only 5 or 6 people were at the venue and it was pretty hard to get any laughter out of them. I still had fun, there was some giant festival happening downtown with live music and stuff so everyone was outdoors and no one wanted to come into the dark club.
    Shit happens

Lombard Pub

Tonight I am in north Portland at The Lombard Pub, a small little bar with a nice stage tucked away up front. There's a few pinball machines and the video lottery machines, standard bar stuff. I get to the venue a little early after hitting up a goodwill a few blocks away. I struck out at Goodwill BTW.
So the show starts and there's about 8 people and the audience. It's a pretty rough show for everyone, it's hard to get a laugh going when there's so few people. Either way I wait for my turn which is last and do about 40 minutes. A lot of riffing and just bullshitting on stage which is productive for me so it was a win in the books.

Clatskanie Pot Shop

Last night I was scheduled to headline an outdoors show in Clatskanie. It was a nice sunny day and I drove out with my gf.
The crowd was ice cold for all the comics leading up to me and I was ready to bomb for 45 mins. Luckily, my gf took a dab and had a terrible reaction to it and starting wigging out hard...screaming and crying...it was intense. Luckily the comic on stage kept going and finished out the show. Needless to say I did not perform and we stayed till midnight for her to calm down.
   No more dabs

Helium Contest

Last night I was in the preliminary round of the Portland's funniest comedy contest. I did not advance. I was pretty disappointed because I felt like I had a great set and was a ringer in the lineup. I guess that's what I get for being confident haha. Luckily I worked there as a feature so I'm not too torn up about it but I am pretty disappointed because I I felt good about my performance. At least I got a good tape out of the whole thing

Bossanova

Last night I got added to a show at the Bossanova Ballroom. It was held in the smaller upstairs stage area instead of the bigger room and it was a fun little time. It was definitely more of a low key event, with about 15 to 20 people showing up to watch. Luckily, they were on board from start to finish for all the comedians.
I went up and did about 10 minutes, the first3 were killer the audience was love in me but then it definitely slowed down a bit. Picked back up near the end and I wrapped up a pretty good set. After that I got to see one of my faves, Andy Andrist! Love that guy.
It was a nice little Monday show.

Slide Inn

Last night I was fortunate to be in one of my favorite little rooms called the slide in. It's a small bar slash restaurant that holds about 40 or 50 when full and luckily for me it was.
The show was great from beginning to end there were a couple new comics I didn't know very well and they smashed. Caitlin went up before me and killed it of course and then I finished out the show with about 40 minutes and it was good for pretty much all of it, I could have ended 5-8 minutes earlier I think but it was still a good time.

Curious Comedy Theater

This last week has been pretty rough with 3 bad shows in a row, I'm happy to break the streak tonight at Curious. The theater is pretty well attended and they are ready to laugh. Everyone has great set and I went up last and felt good driving the show home.
Ups and downs...tonight was an up!

Liquid Laughs Boise

This past weekend I got the privilege of featuring at one of my favorite clubs, liquid laughs and boise! It's a great smaller club that has a great staff and they always treat me amazing. This weekend was no exception!
Thursday show went off well although it was a very light crowd as expected. There was probably a dozen people in the room and they understood what was going on and they were with it. I went up and did 30 minutes of solid material and watched shane close it out as the headliner. It was a great start to a great week
Friday and Saturday were 2 show nights and all 4 of them were pretty well attended. I was mixing it up throughout the weekend doing different jokes in each set, some pretty dark ones too and the crowd seemed to be on board with everything I said. Then Sunday had one showed a close out the weekend and that was rather a light as well, about 10 people in the audience but they were on board.
I got to talk to the manager for a while and they want me back soon. Hopefully I will headline that club soon! On the way back to portland one of my tires wobbling really bad, luckily I bought a new set of wheels in Boise off craigs list while I was there and I bought 4 new tires and mounted them. Basically I lost money given that I bought new tires but it was money I was going to spend anyway.

Alberta Street Pub

Last night I was part of the control yourself showcase at alberta street, one of the best showcases in town. The lineup is great, with some out of towners and locals. I go up third to last and have a killer set. Really loose and fluid with a lot of new material. Everyone in the crowd really enjoyed it and I felt damn good about myself at the end of that night.
    A winner is me!

Gig Harbor

Last night I performed at a small upscale coffee/wine bar in Gig Harbor. O left from work and made the 3/hour drive, made it just in time.
The show went well, some lighting issues and the mic was a bit low but the crowd was cool. Mostly older rich people so I just attacked them for being better of in life than I am and it went over well. A fun little gig, and my car made it there and back so I'm happy.

Helium

Tuesday night...open mic....Helium. A regular part of my routine, and I like it.
Tonight wasnt my best. I had a bunch of new material about fetishes in the animal kingdom and I blanked on a lot of it on stage,  it was supposed to last 3 minutes, lasted about 1.
Not my best work but that's how the cookie crumbles or some shit.

The Green Room Eugene

Last night I was in downtown Eugene Oregon for a show called the gateway show where comics do a set and get high and do another set. It's always a fun show and I am doing the intermission 15 minutes set between comics.
The bar was packed standing room only, and overall the entire show was great from start to finish. I met 2 new comics out of Eugene that are both very funny and we got very high. A great time for me.

Helium

This weekend I am very lucky to feature for Bert Kreischer at Helium Comedy Club! It feels great to be a feature finally and getting to stretch my legs on that stage.
Thursday night the show was amazing! I cannot tell you how great my set felt, everything hit and I got like a dozen applause breaks. The crowd was on board for crack, suicide, beating up kids, anything I threw at them they were eating up. That was a real good start for the week and I can't wait to see how Friday and Saturday goes!
Continued...Fri ans Sat were amazing! All shows were sold out and the crowds loved me. God damn i feel good about my life right now.

Helium

Last week I was at helium as usual for the open mic on Tuesdays and I had a bunch of new stuff to try out. An old drug dealer friend who I haven't talked to in 15 years hit me up on Facebook so I talked about that for a couple minutes and it went over very well, as well as some Valentine's Day material. I'm really happy with the drug dealer stuff and I'll tied into my crack cocaine material. All that crack smoking back in the day turned out to be great later on in life!

The Eventuary

Tonight I am performing at a really cool Mortuary converted into an event space and Lincoln City called The eventuary. This place is full of whimsical antiques on every surface. Cool shit everywhere, paintings, old ship parts, clocks, so much it's an American Pickers dream.
I'm on a three-person show and I go out first. There's 50-plus people packed into the room and the youngest is probably 50 years old. Luckily they're on board for everything I give them, I have a pretty good set and do a lot of material about the space and the crowds on board. Walked off feeling pretty good about myself and was glad I won over all those older people.
Sometimes an older crowd can be very not into what I do, tonight was not the case.

Pacific Growlers

Last night I got booked a feature at a show and a small bar and Beaverton. Big open room with a couple at table set-up held about 40 people. I got there a little early anyways just bullshiting not really preparing for this sat or anything, I didn't think you'd be that good of a show honestly so I just was playing it loose.
Turned out to be a great show! For me at least. First couple of comics had meh sets and then I went up and just felt pretty strong from start to finish. There was a lady in the audience that wouldn't shut the hell up and was constantly talking so I ripped into her the audience loved it she came onstage and I started talking s*** to her and the crowd was feeling it. She was drunk, I called her out... I left with a huge applause and will be back soon.
Headliner ate shit. It was really awkward and bad, he did 40 minutes and only told maybe two jokes and it was pretty terrible

Dirty Dozen

This week I got the pleasure of Hosting another Dirty Dozen! First one of 2017, and it started with a bang! The lineup was packed with some of the best comics in Portland and the audience was packed with the best people as well. Really high energy, loud laughing group of people.
I went up as the host and did about seven minutes of new stuff I come up with the weekend before. Some of it worked pretty good some of it didn't, but that's the roots as a host yet fill out the audience and see what you can do. I got some good reads on some new material that I'm happy with it, so it was productive for me.
The lineup was great, all the comics had stellar sets! The crowd was very happy at the end of this show and I look forward to the next one! Next month is a roast battle so stay tuned for that!

Alberta Rose Theater

Last night I got the pleasure of performing at a sold-out Alberta Rose Theatre for a Planned Parenthood benefit. It was a fantastic show with eight storytellers and a hungry crowd. 4 went up, then an intermission then the last 4. The theater is gorgeous, a real nice setting for any show and I was excited to be on it.
My set went fantastic! I did an old story that I tweaked up about a girl falling down a staircase, classic. The crowd ate it up, I was only on stage for six or seven minutes and it flew by. Really awesome response at all the tags in my story, I wish every set I did was in that kind of setting. I'm very grateful that the people at Planned Parenthood reached out and put me on the show, I hope to do another one again!

Ridgefield Theater

This past Saturday I got to perform in the Ridgefield theater. Its a beautiful old theater in the small town of Ridgefield about 30 minutes north of Portland. Holds about 200, and it was pretty packed for the show. The lineup was great and the crowd was responsive.
I went up second and did about 20 minutes. I got great reactions and shot the shit with a lot of the audience, a lot of riffing and keeping it loose. This was a good loose set for me to just unwind amd have fun.

Saturday, January 28, 2017

Comic Strip

I'm back at Funhouse Lounge for another episode of Comic Strip! This is a great show, comics take turns doing sets and getting undressed as the strip master rings their bell. Really fun format and comics can get as naked as they want to.
I get totally nude, I love it. 10ish people sitting their watching me take it all off, very empowering. My wet goes well, I'm headlining the show, and by the time I took to the stage the crowd had been their for 2 hours...long show. Set still was great and I filmed it!
    Porn hub here I come!

Helium Secret Headliner Show

Tonight I got asked to feature for the secret headliner show at Helium. I'm excited and a little anxious cuz I don't know who the headliner is, but either way I get the feature so it's going to be a good time. The crowd was packed, 200 plus people showed up without even knowing who the headliner was and they were lucky cuz it was Jeff Dye! A great guy, great comic, and a great time for everybody that was there.
My set was killer, I say that very bluntly. I went up and at the very start I had the audience loving me, it's slowed down a little near the end with my crack stories but from start to finish it was a really solid set. I look forward to the video!

Tuesday, January 24, 2017

Helium Open Mic

It's Tuesday so that means it's Open Mic at Helium! I go in there feeling pretty ok cuz I came up with five minutes of new material after work today and going over it in my head it sounds good. I get to the club and it's a real nice audience, loud and responsive. I go up and do my new material and I get a medium response to it. Nothing good or bad, I have a couple of decent riffs but overall not my best work.
That's the beauty of comedy, it always keeps you on your toes

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Nariko's going away show at Helium

Tuesday was bittersweet. On one hand I got to be part of a great show with an audience of 200 people, on the other hand this was a send-off for my good friend and fellow comedian nariko ott. Noriko is a good dude and has always been a great friend, but now he's moving to New York to stretch his legs. I will be following him pretty soon as well, but I'll be going to LA.
The Show Goes fantastic. There's 6 comics on the show they each do 10 minutes of material. Everybody has great sets, the audience is loud and energetic. While everyone was great, I felt like I killed it, even with some of my riffs about Papa Roach and what not, it was a really solid set. I probably should have recorded it.

Secret Society

Monday night I got to be a part of a great little show at the secret society Theatre. This is a great 2nd floor venue they can hold about 250 people. The weather is terrible outside, roads are all iced over but still about 40 or 50 people show up.
The show format is pretty unique, it starts off as a panel with the comics on stage behind a dais chiming in with their opinions about Anonymous articles written into the paper. It goes well and everybody get some good ribs in. After the panel there's a brief 10-minute intermission and then the comedy starts. I go up last and have a great set, all of my jokes seem to hit pretty hard and I left there feeling pretty good about myself.

Looking Glass Theater in Bend

Last night I got to headline a show in Bend, at a new venue called Looking Glass. It's a food/gift/theater shop with a bunch of weird shit for sale. Hippy stuff like crystals and incense. The show is held in a small room by itself with French doors dividing it from the sales floor. Holds about 40.
Getting there was rough because of the snow and ice but one we got to the pass it was all clear. Took about 5 hours, got there with 30 mins to spare, good timing. About 15 people were in the audience and they were really cool. All couples too, weird. I did about an hour and got a lot of great hits and it was def a trip worth making.
On the way back I took a wrong turn and ended up going through salem. It was nice driving back, no traffic. But unfortunately by heater stopped working...luckily that was the last hour of the trip. A brutally cold last hour.

NYE show at Mister Theater

About a month ago my friend Jake asked me to be part of a New Year's Eve show that he knew nothing about and I agreed. New Year's Eve came, and I went to the theater, a small brand new Theater built into a warehouse that could hold about 60 people. It was nice, large stage but you could tell her everything was new and there was no Spotlight it was pretty basic.
There was only about 12 people in the audience. It wasn't a very good show but it was better than nothing on New Year's Eve. Jake started the show and did about 10 minutes to "warm them up". Redeeming factors being that my friend Jake and a couple other Comics I like and respect were there. I had some pretty good riffs though, I didn't record the set but I remembered a few of them.    Happy New Year everyone.

Capitol City Theater

Merry Christmas everyone, at least I hope it was for you. I was back in Virginia for a week with my family and it was a really fun and casual time. Good food, good friends, and star filled skies. I dig it.
I got back Thursday night and had a show on Friday at the capitol city theater in Salem. I was headlining and it felt good to do an hour after being off for a week. They lit me at 30 minutes but then I just lost track of time and ended up recording 59 minutes on my phone. It was a full room but they were not very loud. All three of the comics before me were getting very mild responses from the audience and my set wasn't much different. I had a few applause breaks and whatnot but it wasn't booming.
It was still great and I look forward to going back to Salem. I like that theater.
