it's finally time. Im in the preliminary round of my helium comedy contest. there are 10 other comics in the round with me tonight, and they are no strangers to the stage. I'm going up tonight with no expectations, so many heavy hitters in this round I'm honored to be part of the show.
I go up 8th, and I feel like the audience is pretty tight. I don't feel like my set was as good as my first round, but still felt solid. I really worked on my set for a nice solid five and a half minutes, and win or lose, I'm glad I got to perform.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a nervous wreck while I wait for the results. Everybody had such killer sets tonight, this is gonna be a close race. It took them a very long time to count the scores to, at least 30 minutes. It was so close! But there's good news, I advanced! Wow, 4 years of doing the contest and I finally broke into the finals. I was feeling pretty awesome afterwards and hit up Tonic to see some of my friends. Then I went home, played some counter-strike and went to bed.
